Naxos Animal Welfare Society, is made up of a group of people who care, about the welfare of stray and badly treated animals. We formed a society, because the efforts of individuals were not enough to solve all the problems. As a group, we hope that we can do better for animals. As Naxos Animal Welfare Society, we can co-operate with other animal welfare societies and with their help, improve our help for strays. We have many concerns about the welfare of stray and owned, abused animals on our island.

Achievements
We sterilize over 600 cats every year with the financial support of ETN – Europäischer Tier- und Naturschutz.
In the past we had the support of the foundation “Fondation Brigitte Bardot”.
We appreciate their help and support.
From 2008 until 2015 there have been sterilized 1243 cats and 249 dogs.
