VIRTUAL ADOPTION

What is Virtual Adoption?

Do you love animals and want to help stray pets, but unfortunately, for various reasons, you are unable to adopt one? There is a different form of adoption: virtual adoption! You choose one of the animals we care for that is available for adoption and support it by covering the costs of its food and medication. It’s that simple — yet the help is tremendous! Many of our animals have health issues or are elderly, and as a result, their needs are financially demanding. By covering the expenses of one of our furry friends, you also enable us to help yet another animal in need.

How You Can Become a Virtual Parent

Each month, you contribute €30, which covers part of the animal’s monthly needs for food and medical care. For this reason, more than one virtual parent may support the same animal. You can also offer a virtual adoption as a gift to someone you love who would like to help a stray animal. Once the process is completed, you will receive a certificate from us with the name of the dog you selected. You will also receive regular updates and news about them via the email address you provide.

  Duration of Virtual Adoption:

You decide the duration. We suggest a minimum of 6 months or an annual subscription, though this is not binding.

PEPE

PEPE
Born: approx. 2014 | Height: 58 cm | Weight: 19 kg | Mix breed | Microchip No.: 941000017890103

Pepe is a sensitive little soul — extremely intelligent and affectionate — but unfortunately not very lucky when it comes to his health.

In 2020, he developed a benign tumor on his front right leg, which was removed that same year. The biopsy showed a collagenous skin tag. Unfortunately, over the years the tumor reappeared and, due to its location and size, it could not be surgically removed.

Pepe began to suffer, and eventually, at the beginning of 2025, his leg had to be amputated. He is now a tripod dog and over the past year has had to adjust to his new reality. Today, however, little Pepe runs again and smiles!

In addition, he has a heart murmur, which we monitor every six months with an ultrasound performed in Syros, as this service is not available on our island. For his heart condition, he follows a steady medication regimen.

We would love for you to support Pepe through virtual adoption by offering a monthly contribution toward his care and needs. Your support is not only financial — it is also an act of love. It means you are thinking of him, sending him strength from afar, and wishing that everything goes well for him.
