Meet Lime
Lime was found in Kastraki in May 2025 when she was only about five months old, she had either fallen into a bucket of white lime paint or been sprayed with it — a highly corrosive substance that left her in terrible condition. She had very painful chemical injuries to both eyes.
NAWS rescued Lime and provided medical treatment, sadly, one eye could not be saved and had to be removed, and her remaining eye has limited vision.
Today, Lime is healthy and safe and enjoying her life at her foster home.
