Your time is one of the most valuable gifts you could give!

Do you want to be part of something meaningful? Join us in our mission to
save more lives and help animals in need.
NAWS is completely run by volunteers with your donations. We could
not do our lifesaving work without YOU.

Whether you live on the island or want to make a difference during your
vacation. There are many ways that you can contribute to NAWS.

Where can you help:
Shelter support: feeding, giving medications, walking and socializing
our dogs. Playing with, feeding, cleaning and caring for sick and
injured cats at our Recovery Center.

Trap Neuter Release Program: Driving animals to the vet. Trapping animals for
sterilization.

Community Outreach: assisting us in our biannual bazaars, helping
organize events, donating something for sale at the bazaars or
auctions. Be our social media guru while you volunteer, take videos,
photos, write blogs.

Expertise sharing: Giving medical or legal advice. Helping us with
building and maintaining the shelter.

WE NEED YOU!

How You Can Help Strays

Anyone with a big heart and love for animals can be a lifeline for strays. Your kindness can mean the difference between life and death, offering a lost or abandoned animal the only chance it may have to be reunited with its family or adopted into a new, loving home. Often, people assume that someone else will step in, but there are countless animals in need, and it’s up to each of us to help when we see them struggling.

Strays face serious risks, from traffic accidents to starvation, cruelty, disease, and attacks by other animals. By stepping in, you can protect these vulnerable animals from these dangers and bring them to safety. Helping a stray is one of the most compassionate acts you can offer, as these domesticated animals rely almost entirely on human kindness. Many people want to help but feel unsure of how to start—your courage and care could be the first step in changing an animal’s life forever.
