Naws Cat Feeding Stations

NAWS organizes over 35 cat feeding stations all over Naxos. At all our stations we work hard to ensure that all the cats are neutered under the Trap Neuter Release Program sponsored by our partner ETN. Volunteers also monitor the cats’ health and arrange vet visits if necessary.

These stations are run completely by volunteers and  the food and building supplies are paid for with your kind donations.

Neutering, Feeding and Caring for cats makes our community healthier. Thank you for your kind contributions.

Sponsor a Feeding Station

Please help us by sponsoring a feeding station which costs us between 60 and 80 euros per month depending on the size of the station. . Can you help us towards our total by giving a monthly donation of 10, 20 or 30 euro?

Naxos Animal Welfare cares for over 40 cat feeding stations across the island, providing daily food, sterilization, and ongoing medical monitoring for hundreds of stray cats. Our volunteers check each location regularly, ensuring the cats are healthy and arranging veterinary care whenever needed. Your sponsorship will ensure these cats are fed, protected, and never forgotten.

NAWS Cat Feeding Station at Agios Thalaleos

The quiet, powerful impact of caring.

In the village of Agios Thalaleos, something truly special is happening.

Right beside the Special Education Elementary School, a NAWS feeding station has quietly cared for over 25 stray cats for the past three years. This feeding station is lovingly run by a dedicated NAWS volunteer and a teacher at the school. Every day, they ensure these once-forgotten cats have food, safety, and medical care.

But two of these cats have become something even more extraordinary.

Because of their calm and gentle nature, they are welcomed into the school yard, where they help support the children’s emotional development. Their presence creates a peaceful, comforting atmosphere, helping students feel relaxed, focused, and safe. These cats encourage empathy, emotional connection, and responsibility — offering a unique kind of therapy that words alone cannot provide.

It is deeply moving to see cats who once struggled alone on the streets now nurtured, loved, and able to give back in such a meaningful way. Their journey is a reminder of what compassion can do — not only transforming their lives, but enriching the lives of the children who care for them.

By sponsoring this Feeding Station for 10, 20 or 30 euro per month you are helping cats but also contributing to the healing community at the Special Education School.

Thank you
