N.A.W.S. - Naxos Animals Welfare Society is made up of a group of people who care about the welfare of stray and badly treated animals on Naxos. We formed a society because the efforts of individuals were not enough to solve all the problems we faced. Together, as a group, we hope that we can do the best for the animals. In the same way, as a society, we can co-operate with other animal welfare societies and improve our help for strays. As a group of enthusiastic animal lovers, we have many concerns about the welfare of stray and owned, abused animals on our island. Each of us has his/her own story to tell and a history of caring for and taking in street animals, which is why we need to come together.

 

In the meantime, with the help of Naxos veterinarians, we offer: 
• First aid to sick or beaten animals 
• Vaccination for stray dogs and cats
• Sterilizations for stray dogs and cats
